October is Fleshface Month

Heya Pizza Day-ers! Because we’ve come to October – the spookiest month of the year – we decided it might be amusing to play around with some horror themed comics. So beginning this Friday all throughout October, get ready to have some fun with the Fleshfaces: a family of hilarious psychopaths who, well, like to wear other people’s faces! It’s fun for the entire family!

Horrifyingly yours,
Zoë Moss & Jacob Strick

Thank You Guest Comickers!

Here at Pizza Day H.Q. we are sending out a big, greasy “Thank You” to all the artists who provided four five great weeks of guest comics: Billy ForeJack CusumanoMike RosenNico ColaleoJulian Marcel, and Talbert Johnson. Let’s give ‘em a round of applause!

We celebrate also the milestone of 150 followers on Tumblr and more than a 100 on our Facebook fan page. And if you follow us on Twitter, this post constitutes our 100th tweet!

“Regular” comics resume this coming Friday.

Guest Comics Month!

In celebration of our 1-year anniversary of Pizza Day Comics, we’ve invited some of our favorite artists to contribute original works in the spirit of Pizza Day.

These “guest comics” will be running from now through the first Friday of July. In the meantime Zoë Moss and Jacob Strick will be hard at work on their next Pizza Day Animation, as well as catching some well-deserved rays.

We hope you enjoy what these fine fellows have cooked up for you!

Damn Fine Coffee: Twin Peaks Tribute Show

It is our pleasure to inform you that Pizza Day Comics creators/curators Zoë Moss and Jacob Strick each have an art piece in Damn Fine Coffee, an Twin Peaks tribute art show that opens this weekend (and runs throughout the month).

If you are in Los Angeles this Saturday night, come visit them at the Meltdown Comics & Collectables gallery and check out the myriad works of many fine and talented artists.

One Year Around The Sun

When we started Pizza Day Comics one year ago we set out to make a weekly comic that would – at the very least – make us laugh. Now with 50 strips under our belt, we have the pleasure of knowing that people all around the world are laughing along with us. We thank each and every one of you for supporting us slice after slice after slice. Here’s to 50 more!

Best,
Zoë Moss & Jacob Strick

Titmouse 5 Second day is almost here!

If you want to see some steller animation made by all the folks who make your favorite Adult Swim shows, and quite possibly meet a few of them in person, then you should find your way to Titmouse’s 5 second animation night!

Tomorrow, Titmice from coast to coast will take a day off from working on the project we are assigned to and spend the whole day working on our very own short, one week from then the results will be screened at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood, CA!

We’ll also be showing the un-aired Disney XD motorcity pilot up on the big screen!

If you’re in LA on Friday the 15th, you need to come out and see some awesome animation. I got somethin’ in there, and so do a bunch of amazing peoples from Titmouse! WHATAREYAWAITINGFOR???

Just to give a little more context to this whole Inchy & Pinchy thing. Because the short was developed through animation studio Titmouse’s 5 Second Day, it will be appearing this Friday among other shorts as apart of a screening program at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

If you are in the Hollywood area this Friday the 15th, please purchase a ticket and come support us and other animators by watching original work on the big screen!

Though if you miss the screening, you can always watch it on the computer. But still! A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see inchy & Pinchy in a theatrical setting!

Serving up silly + weird gag comics every Friday!
